Westara

How current are prices, and what do Live, Delayed and Stale mean?

In short

Westara updates stocks, ETFs and Bitcoin automatically about every 15 minutes. The markers next to a security show how fresh the price is.

  • Live: less than about 15 minutes old. For EU securities it also means trading in Frankfurt is open (weekdays 08:00–20:00).
  • Delayed: still fine for totals, not an error. Typical outside trading hours (often the last closing price) or shortly before the next automatic run.
  • Stale: older than about 30 minutes, or the update failed. The header may show that a price is missing.
  • No feed: no price listing set, the test failed, or the price is zero.

Refresh now

Refresh prices (↻) in the header or the R key. You can also see the status under Integrations → Market data. You don't manage price providers or keys; Westara takes care of that.
