Self-host on Start9

Run Westara at home on Start9 OS (or Docker) — the same full app, without a subscription gate. Staff cannot see the box database. Not air-gap: default marks still call Yahoo and CoinGecko when the box has clearnet; live AIS still shares raw lines with the AISP. Optional donations support the project. Help has the honest install path (packaging in progress; Docker from source today).

Same full app at home — no subscription.

How to self-host

What Ask Westara sends

Ask Westara is optional on the free plan. On paid plans it's included — we only share a minimal slice for the question you're asking, never your whole financial life.

  • Ask Westara uses figures already on screen — holdings, spending, cash by account name. Never IBAN, full account numbers, or a vault dump
  • Same Me / person / All filter as your money pages. Nothing is written to your books without Confirm
  • Your books stay stored in the EU. Built-in tips still work when chat is off or you've reached your limit

Books stay in the EU. When you use Ask Westara, a minimal slice for that question is sent to xAI under our DPA, not used for training, not kept as a profile.

Not financial advice. If you type private details into chat, later messages may include them — you can clear the chat anytime.
