- How do I open and use the AI chat? Tap the spark at the top right of the header, or open search (⌘K) and choose Ask Westara. The AI chat is included on Solo and Family. You don't need your own AI account.
- What are AI credits, and what happens when they run out? AI credits are your monthly allowance for AI features: Solo includes 200 credits a month per person, Family 300 credits a month for the whole household. On every plan they're back to full on the 1st of the month.
- Is the AI investment, tax or legal advice? No. The AI chat is an analysis tool for numbers you already have in Westara. It isn't investment advice, wealth management, tax advice or legal advice.
- What should be in Westara so the AI can help well? Complete Actuals, complete Activity and all the accounts that belong in your picture. The better this data, the better the answers.
- What analyses and briefings can the AI create? The AI works with the numbers you already see in the current Me / Person / All filter, and can turn them into analyses and a short summary (briefing) in the AI chat.
- What are the AI insights on Budget, Overview and Holdings? AI insights are short summary cards about the page you're looking at. Tap Insights on Budget, Actuals, the Overview or Holdings.
- What does 'Explain' next to a number do? Explain shows how a number is made up: tap the small Explain next to a figure, and a side sheet opens with the formula, its parts and the rows behind it. Explain is included in every plan, including Free, and isn't an AI feature.
