In short
AI credits are your monthly allowance for AI features: Solo includes 200 credits a month per person, Family 300 credits a month for the whole household. On every plan they're back to full on the 1st of the month.
What a credit is
- A chat message costs 1 credit.
- Heavier analyses cost 2 to 5 credits.
Allowance by plan
- Free: no AI chat.
- Solo: 200 credits a month for you.
- Family: 300 credits a month, shared by the whole household. There's no fixed share per person. Everyone in the household can see how many of the 300 credits are left and when they reset.
Checking usage
Everyone in the household can see under Plan → Usage how many credits are left and when they reset. Invited Family members see the household's shared pool there. A monthly meter also appears under Settings → Integrations.
Only Manage Billing and the upgrade buttons are reserved for the Owner.
When credits run out
- AI pauses until the 1st of the next month. On the Family plan this applies to the whole household, because the allowance is shared.
- A note shows when the credits reset.
- The rest of the app keeps working as normal: Overview, Budget, imports and Explain (included in every plan, not an AI feature).
