In short
No. The AI chat is an analysis tool for numbers you already have in Westara. It isn't investment advice, wealth management, tax advice or legal advice.
Westara is software that organises and shows your data. Charts, hints and AI answers are non-binding help. Every decision is yours.
What the AI is good at (when your data is complete)
- Household: sorting income and spending, finding outliers, comparing plan against actual
- Wealth: net worth, cash versus invested, as far as you've recorded it
- Depot: cost basis using FIFO, realised versus open, weights, which positions moved the day
- Planning: showing variances and pointing to the right place in the app
- Explaining in general terms how concepts like FIFO work
What the AI doesn't do
- Tell you which insurance, fund or loan to buy
- Give buy or sell recommendations for individual securities
- Decide on an allocation that suits you
- Calculate binding tax consequences
How to use the AI sensibly
Ask for calculations and reasons, not orders.
If you want an opinion on allocation, ask for options and trade-offs and decide yourself, or talk to a professional.
Check statements about tax, products and law against primary sources or with a professional. AI can be wrong.
Answers are only as good as your data. Incomplete Activity gives you an incomplete cost basis.
