Complete Actuals, complete Activity and all the accounts that belong in your picture. The better this data, the better the answers.
1) Actuals (household bookings)
Each row needs a date, payee, amount, type (income, spending or transfer), a category (the same names month after month) and a cash account. Transfers should be recorded as a pair so they don't look like spending.
2) Activity (investments)
Each trade needs a depot account, ticker, date, type (buy, sell, transfer, dividend, split), quantity, price and currency, plus fee and tax. For cost basis and realised results, Westara needs the full history of the depot, from the first purchase until today. Stock splits belong in Activity as a split.
3) All relevant accounts
Cash, loans, depots and Bitcoin, as far as you want to track them. Bank connection and file import both count. Credit cards and other cash accounts only count if they're under Accounts.
4) Look in the app first
The Overview, Actuals and Budget, Holdings and the reports. Then ask about exactly those numbers.
Good questions
- "Where do Actuals differ from the plan this month, by category?"
- "What drove the realised result last year?"
IBANs are never sent to the AI.
