- What is Westara, and what doesn't it do? Westara is a morning overview of your household money: your budget and real spending on one side, and your wealth across cash, investments and self-held Bitcoin on the other.
- In what order should I set up Westara? This order works best: accounts first, then real numbers, then extras, and invite other people last.
- What is app focus, and how do I change it? App focus decides how much of the menu and Overview you see: Full app, Budget or Portfolio. It's available on every plan and is set per person.
- How do I search the app, and which keyboard shortcuts are there? Open search with the magnifying glass in the header or with ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows or Linux). On your phone, open the menu and tap Search.
- Can I install Westara on my phone? Yes, as an app on your home screen. There's no separate listing in the App Store or on Google Play.
- How do I switch between dark and light mode? Open the account menu (⋯) at the bottom of the sidebar, then Appearance, and choose Dark, Light or System.
- Can I use Westara's help in a different AI chat? Yes. Copy guides from the help as Markdown and paste them into another AI chat, so it can answer questions about how Westara works.
