Westara keeps the plan separate from real spending: Budget is your year plan, Actuals is what was actually booked. The Overview puts both next to your wealth.
Budget
The year-plan table with income, fixed costs, flexible spending and one-offs. Tap a cell to edit it. When you change a planned amount, choose: this month only, the rest of the year, or the whole year.
Actuals
What really happened. The easiest way in is to import a bank statement. You log single rows via ⋯ → log manually (you need a cash account for that). You'll see cards, a trend, categories and the list of bookings.
Ready to assign
The linked cash left over this month once amounts are in the plan. It's a check figure, not an envelope system.
Build plan
Copies booked months into the year table and, if you want, estimates the rest of the year.
Whether an expense is fixed, flexible or one-off comes from its category. You can change that for a single row under More options.
In the app
- Budget
- Actuals
You’ll find these areas in Westara after signing in.
