How do I split a booking across several categories?

Steps

1. 1

   The Remainder with its category is at the top; below it you add new parts.

2. 2

   Another part adds a row. Split equally spreads the amount across the existing rows.

3. 3

   Update saves the parts. You need at least two parts.

4. 4

   Back leaves the split without saving.

What applies afterwards

• The inbox shows each part as its own row. The bank amount isn't counted twice.
• Undo split puts the remainder's category back on the whole booking. Deleting removes the booking with all its parts.
• Fetching and file import won't create the same bank payment again.
• Payee rules never overwrite a split booking.

Limits

Income and linked transfers can't be split. On the Family plan, under All, Split only appears on your own bookings. It isn't a way to split costs between people.
