How do I merge accounts with the same IBAN?

In short

Open one of the duplicate cash rows under Accounts and choose Merge both accounts (or Merge 3 accounts). Duplicate rows for one current account often appear after connecting your bank or connecting a second time.

When the button appears

  • The rows share the same IBAN, or the same last four digits if no stored full IBAN contradicts it.
  • The home currency is the same (for example all EUR).
  • At least one row has a bank connection.

If the full IBANs or the currencies differ, the button stays hidden.

Steps

  1. Open one of the duplicate rows under Accounts.

  2. Choose Merge … accounts.

  3. Under Keep, pick the row that should stay. Ideally the one with the bank connection and the most Actuals.

  4. Confirm with Merge accounts.

What happens

The kept account's name and Activity stay. Actuals, bank connection and cash balance from the other rows move over to it. Extra rows without holdings and without Activity are removed; rows with Activity stay.

Don't merge two different bank accounts that only share the last four IBAN digits.
