In short
On the illiquid asset row you can optionally link a loan account. The loan stays a separate account of type Other, and its outstanding balance is only subtracted in the asset's net value.
Steps
Create the loan under Accounts as its own account of type Other (or fetch it through the bank connection).
Enter the outstanding balance on that loan, or let it come from a connected loan statement.
On the illiquid asset row, link the loan.
How it's calculated
- No linked loan: outstanding balance 0, so the full value can count as net.
- Outstanding balance unknown: the row doesn't invent a net value.
- The loan stays under Accounts as its own row. Don't combine house and mortgage in one row.
Rent and service charges stay as Actuals on a cash account. Illiquid assets don't carry bookings.
Payment history and performance for loans are coming soon.
