How do I add property, a car or valuables, and do they count towards my wealth?

In short

Under Illiquid assets: create a row of type property, vehicle or valuable and enter your value and an as-of date. You decide per row whether it counts towards total wealth.

Turning it on and adding assets

  1. Under Settings → Household, turn on Track illiquid assets.

  2. Open Illiquid assets in the investments group.

  3. Create a row, pick the type, and enter the value and date.

Illiquid assets aren't accounts. There's no live price and no automatic valuation. The value only changes when you change it.

Include in total

  • The Include in total setting is per row. Property is off by default; vehicles and valuables are on.
  • "Off" means the row stays under Illiquid assets but doesn't count towards total wealth.

Two totals

  • Market wealth: cash, stocks and Bitcoin at current prices. Day change, the 30-day trend, Ready to assign, FIFO and the AI always refer to this figure.
  • Total wealth: market wealth plus the net values of the included illiquid assets (your value minus the outstanding loan). The Overview and the Family snapshot can show it.

If you turn the module off, the Overview only shows market wealth. Turn it back on and the values are there again.
