In short
The Adjustment row (balance reconciliation) aligns your Activity with the real balance of the watched wallet. It isn't a transaction on the blockchain.
After every full sync, the confirmed wallet balance determines the open quantity. If the total in Activity (imported and manual rows) doesn't match, Westara adds an adjustment so Holdings match the wallet. The date is the day of the last full sync.
Common reasons
Manual rows on this wallet, such as buys or an opening balance. This is the most common reason.
The wallet was connected while old rows were still there, so the quantity counts twice.
Rarely: very active addresses or an incomplete history during the fetch.
What to do
- Let the sync determine the quantity.
- For cost basis, edit Transfer in (keep the quantity, change the euro amount). Don't add a buy or opening balance.
- For a clean book, reconnect and choose to replace the BTC book.
- Don't delete the adjustment by hand. The next full sync removes it once the quantities match.
