In short
Optional two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app, on every plan: Free, Solo, the trial, Family, and your own server.
Turn it on
Open Profile → Security → Two-factor authentication and choose Enable.
Scan with your authenticator app, or enter the key shown.
Enter the 6-digit code from the app and tap Confirm.
Save the Recovery codes. Each code works once, in case you don't have the app. Keep the codes offline and confirm with I have saved these codes.
When you sign in
After the normal sign-in, Westara asks for your Authenticator code. If you don't have your phone, choose Use a recovery code instead.
Manage
- New recovery codes creates a fresh set. The old ones stop working.
- Disable turns two-factor authentication off. You need an authenticator or recovery code to do this.
On Free and Solo
You'll see a note that two-factor authentication is part of the Family plan.
